9-1 Blog: Multimedia Tools

Multimedia tools are the latest innovations in today's wave of transmitting technology. Multimedia tools are defined as "a collection of links, tips, and resources for using multimedia tools" (Aartech Resources, 2014). Multimedia has enhanced the messaging process by allowing it's users to utilize various methods of communication.
For example, in regards to smartphones, multimedia tools are used by allowing the user to copy, paste and or forward links, videos and other types of media content to other contacts for viewing. Other multimedia techniques are very beneficial for business purposes when used for mass media content exposure. Throughout my personal usage of multimedia tools, I've found that some applications are condensed when trying to access them via cellular phones. Specifically, Apple Inc's devices are not equipped for PDF files such as Adobe. In this instance, I utilize my Adobe reader app to convert and view the files. Overall, I feel as though multimedia tools are beneficial for all and continuously provided faster and efficient ways to create and share it's content. https://aartechresources.wikispaces.com/Multimedia+Tools; http://panggonsinau.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/c-m1.jpg

8-2 Blog: Best Practices

The blog that I chosen is a blog based on the concepts of my personal usage of Bragg Organic products by consumers on it's actual website www.blog.com/blog. I came across these products via the World Wide Web a few years ago and began to follow this company through the popularity of Instagram, a social media platform for product updates, recipes and viewable consumer content. The functions and substance of Bragg's blogging concepts allows for social interaction amongst actual users of the product along with real life experiences on a monthly calendar basis. The utilization of specific products on Bragg's blogging link further aid in healthier lifestyle concepts and practices. After following Bragg Organic products on they're website and promotional pages via social media it is in my opinion that their claims of leading a healthier lifestyle with Bragg products really work. My findings are attributed to my personal journey and experiences since beginning to use Bragg's apple cider with my daily regimen. For example, I drink two bottles of water mixed with two tablespoons each of Bragg apple cider vinegar daily. By incorporating Bragg apple cider vinegar into my diet, 30 - 45 minutes of exercise and smaller portions of low fat carbohydrate meals I have lost a total of 25 pounds in a 4 month timeframe. With past experiences I have found that not all information that is provided via the World Wide Web is guaranteed to be true; however, in the instance of Bragg Organic products, the information listed can be confirmed and holds adequate truth. The best practices as a blogging site, specifically published on a product's website allows for all readers to review the product before and during usage. Consumers are able to obtain feedback from other consumers with substantial documentation of the product being sold. The favorable confirmation of a product via blog provide potential consumers (readers) with appropriate research tools and resources as well as a broader perspective of the integrity of the organization. http://www.bragg.com/blog

6-2 Blog: Social Media Tools

With these technological advancements of communication, a vast majority of businesses have adapted to the growing trends of social interaction via the World Wide Web. Many businesses utilize social networks to build it's brand by promoting it's products as well as blogging initiatives to acquire consumer feedback. I have selected three social media networks for specific purposes based on popularity, efficiency and convenience.
Twitter is by far one of the most popular and successful social media platforms. "You use your computer or mobile phone to broadcast short messages, or “tweets,” that are limited to 140 characters" (Twitter, 2014). In a sense, Twitter is a short-handed version of blogging. Tweets are generally posted and accompanied by a hashtag for tagging purposes. Hashtags are also used to identify a specific subject and or topic, also as a marketing tool.
Video streaming has also gained popularity based on the phenomenon of live video footage and as a visual aide for claims of instances of a variety of different scenarios. Video streaming allow photos and videos to be shared on social media links such as: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Vine and Flicker. Often times popular videos go viral with the efforts of fame and or marketing strategies are earned based on the amount of views (hits).
Lastly, going 'mobile' has been by far the most effective measure of communication. A mobile device, specifically a cellular phone provides access to all avenues of social media interaction and the usage of all media content listed and much more. Mobile devices allow users to send and receive texts messages and phone calls, view media content, access emails, internet access, webinars and multimedia content. These devices are practically the equivalent to an actual computer; however, some features are modified to fit the format of a hand held device. Mobile devices are considered a universal concept of global communication. References: http://www.twitter.com; Google.com (2014). Top 7 Video Sharing Sites. 3-2 Blog: Unrestricted Web Publishing

Unrestricted Web Publishing With so many domestic violence cases surfacing with NFL players, the media has turned these cases of domestic issues into a media frenzy. The most recent release of a video showing Ray Rice assaulting his then girlfriend in an elevator, the NFL and it's Commissioner, Roger Goodell actions are under fire. Initially, Rice was required to serve a lenient two game suspension based on Goodell advising the media that he had requested to view the tape but had not received one. TMZ is the site that posted the actual tape which created a media frenzy and public uproar. This in return forced Goodell to come clean about not actually viewing the tape and to address the media and public for disregarding domestic violence issues with NFL player. He then later changed Ray Rice's reprimand to being suspended from the NFL indefinitely. Goodell later issued a statement with an apology for simply "getting it wrong" rather than the admission of being a liar. (Huffington Post, 2014). According to the Huffington Post, the published article "Goodbye Goodell" encourages the dismissal of Roger Goodell's tenure as the NFL Commissioner. Based on credible information and sources, this is not infact 100% true and has not been confirmed by Goodell and or the NFL. While this may be highly suggestive as a blogging perspective based on morality and the opinions of the public (sports fans) and media. The skinny, The Huffington Post's article on Commissioner Goodell's resignation is unconfirmed and based solely on blogosphere opinions of sports fans, sports analysts and suggestive measures fueled by TMZ's release of the original tape. Don't assume all to be fact via the World Wide Web. Source: The Huffington Post Abrams, R. (2014, September 11). Goodbye, Goodell. Retrieved September 24, 2014.
