The popularity of social media platforms on the rise, there are various networks that allow for business expansion as well as a variety of networking for entertainment and or business purposes.
On a daily basis, I generally use Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn for entertainment and business networking purposes. Social media has influenced my day to day habits from being updated on the latest news, events, birthdays, politics, fashion trends and job opportunities, to name a few.
Social media has heavily influenced my perspective on various events tremendously. Some of my feelings have been mixed with anger to appreciation. For example the most recent trending topics have been: The Mike Brown shooting in Ferguson, Missouri; the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and technological advancements from various vendors such as Apple, Inc and Samsung.
Overall, I enjoy social media and utilize it to it's fullest extent. It allows everyone to have a voice and the utilization of the amendments of Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press, with unfiltered and filtered guidelines.
